The Palm Beach Gardens Police Volunteers seeks to encourage this spirit by supporting those programs that permit citizens to participate directly in helping to maintain a safe community. The first Annual Fund Drive of the Palm Beach Gardens Police Volunteers kicked off in March of 2008. We are very pleased with the response of our community minded residents and thank them for their generous donations.
The second phase of fund raising will begin in early June when the organization will be contacting various business owners in the community seeking their financial support.
Funds received during this drive will be used to purchase needed equipment that is not currently covered in the city budget. As those items are purchased we will report on them here.

Fingerprints are an excellent form of identification and are often used to help locate missing persons.
The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department now offers FREE fingerprinting for children of the community. The fingerprinting program is designed to create an awareness of the national problem of missing children and helps promote the prevention of missing persons within the City of Palm Beach Gardens.
The program is free of charge and is strictly voluntary. Completed fingerprints are retained by the family - the only record maintained by the Police Department is a log of the parents' and children's names.
Several times a year Police Volunteers set up the Mobile Command Post at local business establishments and offer their services.
The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department's Citizens Mobile Patrol recently promoted one of its members to the rank of Sergeant and moved her to the position of "Training and Events Sergeant".
Ms. Donna Stein has been a member of the unit for several years and has always taken an interest in both training of the members as well as outside events.
Prior to becoming a member of the CMP Ms. Stein was with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office as a member of their Citizens Observer Patrol or COP.
